Winter Season Quarter Finals Results

Senior C Monash/Razorbacks blitzed the Bayswater Lions 7-0 seeing them progress to the semi-finals against the Rosebud Redbacks, hopefully carrying their good form all the way thru to the Grand Final.

Senior BA has struggled to find their feet and stay out of the box on the weekend, going down 7-4 to the Bendigo blaze dashing their hopes of avenging last years Grand Final loss.

Senior A lost 6-0 to the Moe Gators but they get a second chance this weekend and hopefully take advantage of playing at home this weekend against the Rangers.

I wish all teams the best of luck in the semi-finals,

Winter Round 10 Results

This week was a travel week for all 3 teams, C grade to Lilydale, BA heading up to Bendigo and A grade visiting Moe.

C grade took advantage of Lilydales penalties scoring twice on the Power Play to nudge a close 2-1 win. Goals were scored by Dave Archer, assisted by Ben Forrest and Mat Lee scoring unassisted from the point thru screens. Well done to the C graders for getting their point game working.

BA made the long journey up to Bendigo this weekend. The extended break and long travel time showed, with most of the team looking fairly lethargic and after a close first 10 minutes Bendigo used their home rink to their advantage, drilling in shots from the point and then crashing the rebound or rebounce from the more responsive back boards, the game ended up with a final score of 6-3. Goals were scored by Ashley McKinlay, Andreas Norberg and Peter Darnell.

I am still waiting on a quick run down of the A Grade game, but looks like Moe used the home rink to their advantage also with A grade going down 4-2.
